A clash broke out between two groups of fishermen in the afternoon at the Chilaw Fisheries Harbour.
The situation occurred following a discussion which was being chaired by Minister Mahinda Amaraweera.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
