A close associate of Mohamed Zahran, the mastermind behind Easter Sunday terrorist, has been handed over to the Terrorist Investigations Department today (Jul 9), police said.
Shahul Hameed Hizbullah, 21, is believed to have received training with Zahran at a training facility belonging to the terrorist bombers in Hambantota. He is a resident of Welimada.
The suspect had been arrested on June 15 and had been under the custody of the Welimada Police since then.
