Around 70 students fell victim to a wasp attack at the grounds of the Sri Sugatha Madya Maha Vidyalaya, Ballaketuwa in the Badulla district earlier today (Jan 17).
Police said that the incident had occured when the students had unknowingly agitated the hive of the wasps while playing.
The students are currently receiving treatment at the Demodara and Badulla hospitals.
