CMC councillor arrested over Ceylon Petroleum Corporation incident
Colombo Municipal Councillor Kulathissa Geeganage has been arrested by the Police Crimes Division for invovlement in an incident which took place at the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) in October last year.
Mr. Geeganage has been arrested for obstructing police officers at the CPC while also being a part of an unlawful gathering.
Tense scenes were witnessed on October 26 last year when Minister Arjuna Ranatunga had entered the premises of the CPC.
