The All Share Price Index (ASPI) at the Colombo Stock Exchange on Tuesday fell by 3.85 per cent to 5,137.21 in mid-day trade at 12 noon while the S&P 20 index fell by 5.34 per cent to 2,347.13.
Meanwhile trading was temporarily halted for 30 minutes owing to the S&P SL20 index dropping over 5 per cent.
The market was feeling the impact of the spread of the coronavirus on business and economic activity in Sri Lanka, brokers said. (DEC)
