A complaint was filed at the Police Headquarters against Sandeep Sampath - a victim of an accident involving former minister Champika Ranawaka, yesterday (Dec 22).
Boseth Kalahepathirana, a municipal councillor of the Jathika Hela Urumaya led by parliamentarian Ranawaka, had filed the complaint accusing the victim of driving a motorcycle unauthorized to be driven on normal roads.
The complaint was lodged after the former minister had been arrested recently over the mishap in Rajagiriya in 2016. He has been remanded until tomorrow.
