A 43 year old Chinese woman who was admitted at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH) after tested positive for the coronavirus has been discharged from the hospital today, an official from the Ministry of Health said.
As the only person in Sri Lanka who was tested positive for the coronavirus on January 27, the official from the Health Ministry said that she was discharged after recovering completely from the disease.
Health Minister Pavithra Wanniaarachchi and officials at the IDH hospital were present today today when the Chinese woman was discharged officially from the ward. She is expected to leave for China today.
