Pelmadulla Magistrate has ordered the arrest of Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekera over the shooting incident at New Democratic Front (NDF) Candidate Maithripala Sirisena’s election rally stage in Kahawatte.
Three people were injured and admitted to the Ratnapura hospital. One of them is in a critical condition, hospital sources said.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
