Court order issued on anti-SAITM protest

The Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court today issued an order barring those protesting against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) from entering any state institution or cause inconvenience to the public. 

The five-day anti-SAITM protest march organized by student activists from the Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF) arrived in Colombo this afternoon. The march is currently near the Fort Railway Station. 

Latest reports say that police attempted to hand over the court order to students but they had refused to accept it.
