The Colombo Magistrate's Court has ordered the Attorney General (AG)'s Department to inform court on the disciplinary action taken against former minister Vijayakala Maheswaran against her alleged remarks concerning the revival of the LTTE.
Ms. Maheswaran had allegedly made these remarks during an event in Jaffna in July 2018, and was arrested for violating the Penal Code, before being granted bail.
During today's hearing, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) informed court that the final report on the investigations of the case was handed over to the AG's Department.
The CID told Court that they are yet to receive legal advice from the AG to proceed with the case. The case has been fixed for further hearing on December 13.
