Court re-issues arrest warrant on Jaliya Wickramasuriya
The Colombo Fort Magistrate today re-issued the open warrant once again for the arrest of Sri Lanka's former Ambassador to the US, Jaliya Wickramasuriya.
Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne re-issued the arrest warrant after the suspect once again failed to appear in court today.
Wickramasuriya is wanted in connection to a multi-million dollar fraud that allegedly took place while he was Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the US. The fraud involved in the purchase of a building for the Sri Lankan Embassy.
