The Colombo Fort Magistrate re-issued an open warrant on Former Sri Lankan Ambassador Jaliya Wickramasuriya over the misuse of state funds during his term in office.
Court also issued open warrants on two individuals including his wife who signed for sureties when Mr. Wickramasuriya was bailed in 2017.
The former Ambassador was released on a surety bail upon his request to seek medical assistance in the US for four months.
However, the two individuals who signed for sureties along with Mr. Wickramasuriya have failed to turn up before courts since then.
Mr. Wickremesuriya, has been accused of misappropriating over US$ 330,000 while purchasing an office building in the US.
