The Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court has imposed an interim order suspending the court decision to lift the travel ban of Bond Scam suspect Geoffrey Aloysius.
Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne suspended the court order after considering a motion filed by the Attorney General in this regard yesterday (Jun 19). The motion was taken up for consideration today.
Perpetual Treasuries Ltd. Chairman Geoffrey Aloysius, was handed a travel ban after he was named as one of the suspects in the Central Bank treasury bond scam case.
However, court had lifted the travel ban and permitted him to take wing to Singapore from July 1 - 15 in order to attend the marriage ceremony of his daughter.
