The number of COVID-19 patients in the country jumped to 414 this evening (24), with 46 new cases being diagnosed today.
Eleven of the patients confirmed today are residents of Bandaranayake Mawatha in Colombo 12 who are either in quarantine centres or undergoing quarantine in their homes.
Meanwhile, 30 cases have also been confirmed from the Welisara Navy Base. Earlier, 30 navy personnel at the base tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases at the naval base to 60. The entire base has been declared as an isolated area.
