The number of confirmed COVID-19 (Coronavirus) patients in the country have risen to 72 today, Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said. Thirteen new cases of COVID-19 have been identified.
Meanwhile some 218 persons are under observation. All the infected persons are currently admitted at Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), Colombo.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on district distribution of confirmed Coronavirus patients in the country, 78 percent of total 65 patients are male patients while 67% were over 40 years old. Gampaha District has 18 patients, Colombo 17 and Puttalam 12.
