COVID-19 infected count reaches 76; 245 under observation

With the four new confirmed cases from Anuradhapura hospital, the number of confirmed COVID-19 (Coronavirus) patients in the country have risen to 76 today, Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said.

Meanwhile some 245 persons are under observation. All the infected persons are currently admitted at Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), Colombo.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on district distribution of confirmed Coronavirus patients in the country, 78 percent of total 65 patients are male patients while 67% were over 40 years old. Gampaha District has 18 patients, Colombo 17 and Puttalam 12.
