The number of COVID-19 patients in the country soared to 1453 this evening (27) after a further 134 cases were confirmed.
According to the Health Ministry's Epidemiology Unit, 81 of the new patients are foreign returnees while the other 53 are all navy personnel.
All patients reported today are those undergoing quarantine at quarantine centres.
A total of 137 COVID-19 patients were reported yesterday (26), which was the highest number of cases recorded in the country in a single day.
