The Ceylon Teachers Services Union (CTSU) has threatened an unannounced strike action if the salary issues of teachers are not resolved before April 22.
A letter outlining this decision has been sent to the Ministry of Education, CTSU Secretary Mahinda Jayasinghe said.
He added that teachers along with principals would take part in the strike.
However, Mr. Jayasinghe noted that this decision would be revoked if necessary measures are taken to address this issue before April 22.
The second academic term of all national schools is set to commence on the said date.
