The ongoing curfew in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Jaffna and Kandy districts to continue until further notice while in other districts curfew will be lifted on Thursday (April 9) at 6.00am and will be reimposed at 4.00pm on the same day, President Media Division(PMD) said. Thereafter the curfew will continue until further notice.
Traveling to and from all districts has been completely prohibited except for the purpose of providing essential services. The ‘work from Home’ week also has been extended till April10 for the public as well as the private sector institutes.The last week too was a period of work from home.
“Those who misuse regulations introduced with the prime objective of ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of essential services will severely be dealt with according to the law,” the Secretariat said.
