MP Dayasiri Jayasekara today strongly condemned MP Patali Champika Ranawaka's proposal to produce state officials before parliamentary committees.
Addressing a SLFP press briefing today (Dec 10), MP Jayasekara said that MP Ranawaka cannot forward such a proposal since there were no parliamentary committees that were functioning at the moment.
He further said that the proposal was a move to disrupt the administrative activities in the country.
"At this point of time when the Ministers are barred from functioning it is the state officials who have to carry out operational activities" MP Jayasekara said.
He went on to urge all state officials to carry on their duties with utmost sincerity and without fear.
"We are ready to protect all state officials from any harm" he said.
