The total death toll of today's explosions has arisen to 138 while 402 have been wounded, hospital sources said.
Of the victims, 13 foreigners have been admitted to the Colombo General Hospital while some are reported among the victims.
A total of 27 deaths were reported from the explosion at the Zeon Church in Batticaloa, while the number of deaths from the explosions in Negombo stands at 62. Reports also indicate that 35 deaths have been reported from the explosions in Colombo this morning
Police have been deployed to many churches and and places of worship for security measures while military personnel are also engaging in security operations in the vicinity of key religious centers.
