President Maithripala Sirisena instructed the National Police Commission (NPC) to follow a proper methodology on the promotions of the police officers and to start a rapid program to fill the vacancies from lower ranks to higher ranks.
Paying an special attention to the issues faced by the police officers,President also emphasized that actions should be taken without any delay to solve these problems in order to provide a more efficient and quality service to the police officers.
