The Disaster Managment Centre (DMC) issued a Heat index advisory this afternoon that Heat index, the temperature felt on human body is expected to increase up to 'Extreme Caution' level at some places in Polonnaruwa, Batticaloa, Ampara and Monaragala districts today and tomorrow.
lssued by the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre of the DMC, the centre requested those who reside in the districts to take precautionary measures to protect from extreme heat condition.
