Kanakasundaram Maileperumal the doctor who treated former LTTE leader Prabhakaran, his family and other carders died yesterday in his house in Velwetiturai, Jaffna.
He practiced as a doctor in the Kilinochchi district from 1997 to 2013. It is reported that Maileperumal, was born in the same village as the former LTTE leader.
TNA Wanni district MP Selvam Adeikkalanadan and Northern Province Member M.K. Sivajilingam and other district politicians paid their last respects to the doctor yesterday.
