Hashish, cannabis and foreign liquor worth over Rs.11.5 million were recovered from inside an unaccompanied passenger baggage container by Sri Lanka Customs yesterday (4).
Customs officials who inspected the container found two parcels containing hashish 2.945 kilograms and 2 kilograms of cannabis. Also found were 220 bottles of whiskey, 225 bottles of wine and 100 cans of beer.
Two suspects, a clearing agent and a wharf clerk were arrested over the detection. Further investigations are ongoing.
