The number of COVID-19 patients identified from the Eastern Province has risen to 1004 today as many cases reported across the province, a senior official from the Provincial Department of Health Services of East said.
Dr. A. Lathaharan, Director of Provincial Department of Health Services of East said that steps are taken to isolate the specific areas and increase the number of testing capacity through contact tracing process.
Those who enter into the province also being subjected to tests at the entrances from the districts, he said.
