The Education Ministry declared open its latest auditorium equipped with several facilities which was constructed at a cost of Rs 30 million at the 'Isurupaya' building in Battaramulla yesterday (Jun 12).
The auditorium can accommodate upto 300 persons, and is located on the seventh floor of the Isurupaya building, the Education Ministry said in a press release.
According to the Ministry, the newly-constructed auditorium will be utlised to conduct workshops of the Education Ministry, discussions, and staff meetings for Ministry employees.
Meanwhile, steps are being taken to provide the auditorium on rent for education-related events when required by other ministries and relevant organisations, the Ministry noted.
Education Minister Akila viraj Kariyawasam declared open the facility yesterday.
