The Education Ministry has sought close to Rs 2.5 billion from the Treasury, after some 1500 projects have been stalled due to lack of funding.
A senior Ministry official said that project contractors have stopped work, after the Treasury had not released the required funds.
These projects include the construction and development activities of buildings under the ‘Nearest School is the Best School’ project.
