Eight Indian fishermen who were poaching in Lankan waters North West of Kovilan Point in Kareinagar arrested by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard yesterday, navy said. Along with the fishermen two vessles too seized.
The arrested fishermen along with the fishing vessels will be handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of Kankasanthurai for onward action.
