Eight individuals who communicated with the IS terrorist group via a social media application have been arrested yesterday (May 30).
The suspects were taken into custody by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in the Kattankudy, Sammanthurai, and Horowpathana areas.
The bank accounts of these suspects have been frozen following their arrest. The CID is investigating into the assets accquired by these suspects.
