State Minister Eran Wickramaratne has called for a probe on a tweet concerning a "bomb attack" to be carried out next week.
In a letter to the Election Commission (EC), Wickramaratne said he had been tagged in a tweet warning of the attack, to be carried out by the opposition party.
"Please convene a security meeting!," the tweet read.
Minister Harin Fernando and Non - Cabinet minister Ajith Perera were also among those who had been tagged in the tweet.
Accordingly, state minister Wickramaratne called on the EC to take action on the tweet, as it concerned next week's Presidential Election to be held on November 16.
The letter had also been copied to Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP).
