President Maithripala Sirisena will appoint heads of State corporations and Boards within a week.
The President said this while addressing yesterday's (Jan 15) cabinet meeting where he pointed out that state organisations are facing issues with regard to operational activities due to the absence of an Executive committee.
He had also admitted that the government had failed to appoint the heads of state-owned institutions although it has been a few weeks since the new cabinet was appointed.
