The Special Task Force (STF) has recovered a pack of explosives in Kayts island this morning.
The package contained C-4 explosives and trinitrotoluene (TNT) weighing 12 kilograms.
A total of 98 detonators too were recovered by STF officers.
It is believed that these explosives had been dropped off at the island by boat.
Police said that the STF is currently carrying out a search in the area.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
