A stock of explosives and live ammunition were recovered following questioning carried out on Mohamed Milhan, a suspect arrested in connection with the Easter Sunday attacks.
This ammunition had been buried at a forest area in the Ollikulam area in Kattankudy, police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.
Accordingly, 300 sticks of gelignite explosives, six litres of liquid gelignite, a 1000 detonator, fuse code and a 475 rounds of ammunition used in Type-56 assault rifles had been recovered from the area, the Spokesman noted.
Mohamed Milhan, the suspect who had provided these information, had been arrested in Jeddah by a group of Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officers.
