A father and two daughters have died after they were swept away due to strong currents in the seas off Kirinda, Yala, yesterday (Jun 23) police said.
The mother of the same family who was also washed away is currently receiving treatment at the Ampara General Hospital.
The victims who were residents of Hatton have been identified as follows:
The remains of the victims currently lie at the Debarawewa hospital, police said adding that further investigations are currently underway.
