The Finance Ministry has issued a circular to all ministries to cut down their capital expenditure by 15 percent, Finance Ministry sources said.
It is reported that the secretaries of all ministries had been briefed regarding this move during a meeting at the Finance Ministry a few weeks ago.
This decision had reportedly been taken since the government had faced a setback in terms of its expected income due to the recent terror attacks.
A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
