A fire broke out at a housing complex in Athurugirya a short while ago.
It is reported that two fire trucks attached to the Kotte Fire Service Unit had managed to douse the fire.
No casualties have been reported due to the fire, a spokesman for the Kotte Fire Service said. He added that investigations have commenced to determine the cause of the fire.
The fire had broken out within the Athurugiriya Shanthalokagama housing complex.
Former Minister and leader of the Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) Douglas Devenanada was arrested by the Criminal investigation Department (CID) today.
