A fire broke out at a private bank in Rajagiriya this afternoon, Police said.
The fire is believed to have been caused owing to an electrical shortage.
Two fire trucks from the Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Fire Brigade were deployed to douse the fire.
The fire has been completely doused and no casualties have been reported, Police said
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
