Twelve line houses Paulmorl Estate in Agarapathana, Hatton were completely destroyed after a major fire erupted this morning.
The fire left the homes completely gutted, destroying most of the possessions belonging to the occupants.
Some 50 persons who were displaced due to the incident have currently been given temporary accomodation at the estate.
A cause for the fire is yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
