A load of rubber that was stored near a jetty at the Colombo Port has caught fire. Officials are attempting to bring the flames under control. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
