Firefighter killed in road accident in Jaffna
A firefighter attached to the Fire Brigade of Jaffna Municipal Council (JMC) was killed in a road accident this afternoon when the fire truck slipped off the street in Neervely, Jaffna. Two other employees were also admitted to hospital with injuries.
The victim is identified as 37 year old firefighter Ariyaratnam Sakaayarajah. He was pronounced dead on admission to the hospital. Kopay police are carrying out further investigations over the incident. (Pix and News by N.Lohathayalan)
