The first cabinet meeting of the new government commenced at the Presidential Secretariat a short while ago, the Presidential Secretariat said.
Decision with regard to submitting a Vote on Account to the tune of Rs. 1.6 trillion (Rs. 1,600 billion) prior to the November budget is to be taken at today's meeting, according to a senior Cabinet Minister.
To be presented in Parliament immediately after Cabinet approval is obtained, the urgent requirement is to pay outstanding bills for road and building constructions among other payments.
