The first floor of the Bank of Ceylon (BOC) building in Dehiwala has been completely destroyed after a fire broke out within the building earlier today (Mar 28).
Swift measures were taken to deploy a fire truck along with 12 firemen and two water tanks in order to douse the fire which had broken out at around 12:25 am.
According to the police, no person was inside the five-storeyed building since it had remained locked at the time of the fire.
The losses caused by the fire has not been estimated as of yet, police said.
