The Appropriation Bill outlining allocations for each Ministry for 2018 will be presented to Parliament on October 9 (Monday), for its first reading, local media reported.
The Appropriation Bill which seeks to pass budgetary allocations through Parliament is presented before the budget speech by the Minister of Finance. According to reports the Finance Minister is expected to present the 2018 Budget to Parliament on November 9.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
