Five Sri Lankan fishermen who were on a fishing vessel which collided with a ship off Kirinda, have been rescued a short while ago, Navy said.
The Navy had also dispatched a Dvora Fast Attack craft to rescue the fishermen.
However, the fishermen were rescued by other fishing boats which were in the vicinity.
