Officers from the Kandy Anti Vice Squad arrested five suspects for heroin and ganja possession. The suspects were arrested during at raid near Lewella Bridge along with 2.25 grams of heroin and 36.3 grams of ganja in their possession, police said.
The arrested suspects are aged 18, 19, 21, 23 and 39 years. They are residents of Girandurukotte and Kandy. The suspects are due to be produced before the Kandy Magistrate's Court.
