Five dead after earth embankment collapse in Neluwa
Five persons have been killed after an earth embankment collapsed onto a house belonging to a tea factory at the Doowili Ella Estate in Neluwa, Galle.
The Neluwa area is currently experiencing severe flooding due to the adverse weather and it is difficult to reach the location.
Meanwhile, an airman who was engaged in rescue efforts in the area in a Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) helicopter has also been injured and admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
