Flight to Doha makes emergency landing at BIA

News

A Qatar Airways flight from Phuket to Doha made an emergency landing at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) a short while ago, Airport officials said. The landing took place after smoke was observed inside the aircraft, they said. The Negombo hospital, Fire Brigades in the area and the police were placed on alert before the landing took place. The flight, an A-320 landed safely and the air craft is being inspected currently.
