Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has advised Secretary to the Prime Minister Gamini Senarath during a phone call to take necessary steps to ensure that food and other essential commodities are released to the market without any shortage, PM Office said today.
Accordingly, necessary steps have been taken to distribute essential commodities to the market. SATHOSA is currently taking measures to distribute essential food items from its main warehouses, while packaging and distribution activities continued today as well.
Meanwhile, Litro Gas is also making arrangements to distribute gas to the market without any shortage. Chairman of Litro Gas Anil Koswatte said that the company has enough stocks of gas to meet the consumer demand and that steps have already been taken to distribute gas throughout the island.
