A former employee attached to the Ceylon Transport Board (CTB) set himself on fire in Pitakotte earlier today (Mar 15).
The incident had occured at the premises of the Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya (JSS) when the victim was engaged in discussion with a few officers.
Swift action was taken to rescue the man who is currently receiving treatment at the Kalubowila Hospital.
It is reported that the former CTB employee, a resident of Wanathawilluwa had suffered severe burn injuries as a result of the incident.
